Dominio confirmado

Pablo Ortega confirmó su condición de poleman en la primera fecha del Campeonato Argentino 2018 de Turismo Nacional Clase 2 al marcar el mejor tiempo a bordo del Peugeot 208 que alista el equipo GR Competición, con el cual el piloto tucumano se convierte en el primer líder del certamen, sumando el primer punto en disputa en la temporada. Cronometrando 2m53s782, postergó a Nicolás Posco por ocho décimas y a Miguel Ciaurro por poco más de un segundo, logrando nuevamente el piloto tucumano un dominio destacado durante el segundo cronometrado previo a la disputa de la serie clasificatoria.

Pablo Ortega dominó entre los pilotos del Grupo A al momento de clasificar con 2m43s782/1000, superando a Miguel Ciaurro por poco más de un segundo de diferencia, mientras que Tomás Bergallo cerraba su clasificación en el tercer puesto. Los cinco primeros de este cronometrado los completaban Ever Franetovich y el pampeano Matías Menvielle, de gran trabajo logrando transitoriamente el segundo puesto durante una parte del cronometrado.

Al momento de disputar los autos del Grupo B la actividad en pista, Nicolás Posco volvió a ser el más veloz, ascendiendo al segundo lugar, aunque a ocho décimas del tiempo logrado por Pablo Ortega, quien confirmó su condición de poleman. En este cronometrado, fue destacable el sexto puesto logrado por Sebastián Pérez, en el primer desarrollo en pista oficial del Chevrolet Onix construido por Gabriel Rodríguez, con motorización de Rubén Pérez, padre del citado piloto. El bahiense, en su grupo, quedó por delante de Luciano Bucci, octavo en el cronometrado general.

Finalizada la clasificación, y por exceder el límite en tránsito de pista, fueron retirados tiempos de vuelta de los pilotos Rodrigo Verdeguer, Agustin Herrera, Juan Martin Eluchans, Gabriel Scordia, Alejandro Valderrey, Lucas Yerobi, Geronimo Nuñez y Gastón Iansa, mientras que Marcos Fernández fue excluido parcialmente por no repetar régimen de parque cerrado. Entre los pilotos provinciales, el más destacado fue Rodrigo Verdeguer (19º), por delante de Sergio Fernández (20º).

Pablo Ortega, Nicolás Posco, Miguel Ciaurro, Tomás Bergallo y Ever Franetovich completaron las principales posiciones de la segunda tanda de clasificación y en los cómputos generales, ocupando las mismas posiciones en la carrera clasificatoria que se disputará a partir de las 14,00 horas, con televisación en vivo y directo por la señal de DeporTV.
